This is a raspberry hat, which is actually magenta in color not the red that it looks in this picture.  Instead of gree seed stiches, it has raised dots to represent the nubs of a berry.  I also make strawberry hats that have green seeds instead of the texturing.  The hats are available in all colors and sizes, even adult.  Our teenage daughter wears a strawberry hat that has chenile yarn in the leaves (to make it cool). $27.50  Hats can be made and decorated to coordinate with any era of clothing.  We usually wear straw hats with the boats, as you never know when one is going for an unexpected swim.
