Originally
sold to Carl C. Conway, owner of Continental Can Co. in Lake Placid, N.Y.
Sept. of 1929. Kate Smith purchased her in the late 1930's. The present
owner found this boat near Utica, N.Y. were it had been stored for over
20 years in the back of an old barn. Motor was seen first which pushed
the the sale to completion.
This
model #7 boat is 26' long with a 6' 8" beam. Haul # is #900. This model
has the rare original chris craft v-8 engine of 825 c.i. 225 h.p. max.
rpm's are 2,200 which gives a speed of about 45 mph. Boat and motor is
6,000lbs+.
Restoration
took 5 years and was completed in 1984. It's first year showing it won
best of show at the Manotick boat show in Canada.
